What a job looks like

Three that come up every month

The 60-amp house

A 1970s home with a 60 or 100 amp service, and the owner wants a heat pump. The heat pump isn't the job; the service is. A load calculation first, then a 200 amp upgrade, then the new circuit, in that order.

  • Load calculation before anything is quoted
  • Service upgrade and new panel
  • Dedicated circuit for the new equipment

The garage charger

New EV, and the dealer said "just get an outlet put in." Sometimes that's true. Often the panel is already close to full, and the cheaper answer is a load management device rather than a service upgrade.

  • Panel capacity checked before ordering
  • Hardwired or 14-50, whichever suits
  • Conduit left for a second charger

The unit that has to open Monday

A commercial tenant improvement with a fixed opening date. Lighting, added circuits for equipment, and a distribution change, staged so the parts that can't be done during business hours happen first.

  • Written staging against your open date
  • LED lighting and emergency lighting
  • Circuits sized for the actual equipment list
