Horizon Hues Installations is a one-person electrical business based in Nanaimo, working on homes and small commercial buildings across the mid-Island.
One person, start to finish
I'm Eric. Horizon Hues is mine, and if you hire it, I'm who turns up. That's the whole pitch, really. There's no dispatcher, no rotating crew, and nobody who quoted your job and then handed it to someone who's never seen the building.
My work sits across residential, commercial and some lighter industrial, so a building that's a bit of all three doesn't need three different trades to look at it. Fixing counts too: as much of what I do is finding out why something stopped working as it is installing something new.
The name
Why "Horizon Hues"
It isn't the most obvious name for an electrician, and I know it. I picked it because I wanted something calm and easy-going: the colours at the end of the day rather than another surname and a lightning bolt.
Which turns out to be the point. Electrical work in someone's home is disruptive and slightly stressful, and most of what makes it bearable is being told what's happening, when, and what it'll cost. Nothing in your face. That's the whole idea behind the name, and it's how I try to run the jobs.

I book what I can actually do. If a date has to move you'll hear it from me first, with a new one attached, not silence and a missed morning.
Plain answers
You'll get told what was wrong and what was done in language you can repeat to someone else, including when the honest answer is that it's a smaller job than you were expecting.
