Across Vancouver Island, from Victoria up to Campbell River. Nanaimo is home, so the mid-Island towns come up most: Lantzville, Nanoose Bay, Parksville, Cedar and Ladysmith. If you're a bit outside that, ask anyway; it depends on the job.
How quickly will I hear back?
Within two business days, every time. Work is booked in advance rather than taken as it comes, which is what keeps a start date a start date.
For a genuine emergency, call 911 if anything is burning or sparking, or BC Hydro at 1 888 769 3766 for an outage or a downed line.
Do you install EV chargers?
Yes. Level 2 home charging, and multi-bay setups for commercial sites. The first thing that gets checked is whether your existing service can carry the load, because that's what decides the price, not the charger.
Do you do commercial work as well as houses?
Both. Shops, offices and small industrial: fit-outs, service upgrades, lighting retrofits, added circuits for new equipment, and ongoing maintenance.
How do I get a quote?
Email eric@horizonhues.ca, or send the form on the contact page. Email is the surest way to reach me, since I'm out of cell service for stretches. Tell me what the building is and roughly what you want done. Anything structural gets a site visit before a number goes on paper.
Do you work on older homes?
Often. Older Island housing stock usually needs the panel and the circuit count brought forward before anything else is worth doing, so that's normally where a quote starts.
